This week we proudly shine the spotlight on one of the most popular sites we have the privilege of hosting, Kimbarlou Sims. After a year of creating Sims goodies for her family's games, Chantal opened Kimbarlou Sims on August 6, 2002, right here on SimsHost. With occasional help from Lady Seravina and her daughter Barbonna with skins and walls, Chantal's site has grown to provide an extensive collection of quality creations in every category of Sims things. The site features multiple pages of collections in nearly every category. Kitchens and bathrooms are Chantal's favorite creations, but look sharp because you will also find some beautiful examples of her least favorite -- love beds -- on the showroom floor!

Lower Costs for Renewing Subscriptions

SimsHost's subscription system has a new feature -- if your account expires but there is still money left in your download account, it will automatically renew your account for one month, using funds from your download account. Better still, the automatic renewal rate is only $2.00 a month so you'll be renewed at the annual rate even if your original subscription was for a shorter term.

If there is less than $2.00 in your download account, the system uses half what's there and pro-rates the renewal at the same rate of $2.00 a month.

If you have a current account and want to set up your account for automatic renewal from your download account, just log in to Maintain Your Account and accept the new subscriber agreement.

Automatic renewal happens only with money you have already put into your download account. SimsHost does not do recurring charges to credit cards or PayPal accounts, so you always have complete control over how much you want to spend on The Sims.

The new subscription system went on line on October 27, 2003, but you have to accept the changes to the subscriber agreement before it will work with your account. If you are creating a new account or renewing your existing account, you will automatically see the screen where you accept the subscriber agreement.

While you are your account maintenance area, make sure that your SimsHost account information has your current email address. That's really important if you should ever need to contact us about your account. Just click on the link to Maintain Your Account to access your personal account on our secure server. (We will never share your email address or any other personal information with anybody for any reason.)

The Answer to High-Priced Subscription Sites

With your one SimsHost subscription, you support the hosting costs for all the sites we host and enjoy new additions that continue to surpass all the stand-alone subscription sites combined with your one low-cost subscription to SimsHost! That's why we created SimsHost in June 2002 when we ran out resources to host sites for free on the Moon Sims server, and it's working great!

One year ago we opened with two dozen founding sites. On that day, SimsHost instantaneously became by far the largest Sims site in the world offering the best value in subscription sites.

Today we host more than fifty fantastic sites for The Sims, the sites are bigger, and the service just keeps getting better! Taken collectively, the SimsHosted sites are still the largest site the The Sims in the world, yet we continue to be able to bring all these sites to you at a subscription cost that's half what you have to pay for the least expensive stand-alone sites.

Yuppie Sims has a huge update for you today with 19 Christmas fireplaces and 2 regular fireplaces, partial brick walls with snow, and a few interior walls as well, a blue Christmas theme including two new Santas, one that comes after midnight when the tree and cookies are placed out, and entertainer Santa that will come and entertain you kiddies. Also added a snow set with pieces that can be used on slopes or over pools and water, and mini Christmas lights in lots of colors.

Sunny Side Sims updates with their first home made by Llalena, 3 snowy floors, 1 safari wall, 3 walls, 3 wall sets, 1 snowy wall set, tons of tile, 2 free tiles, 1 free wall and beautiful walls and floors by Guest Artist Jennifer.

Carrot Stuff added a Rejuvenating Dresser which will rejuvenate your Sims' comfort, hunger, hygiene, social, fun and energy levels instantly.

Seasonal Sims updated today with tons of Christmas downloads, which can be found on the holidays page. As well as 4 new lots by Eden, a new design and 9 new screenshots for Sims 2 on Seasonal Sims 2.

Candace's Sim Bazaar bring you some of the wonderful fantasy characters that you could get with the Makin' Magic Expansions Beauty or Beast spell. Candace managed to extract the nymph and werewolves and turn them into playable characters. They each come with a custom anatomically correct nude. Hands are included in the zip when necessary.

Debby Sims updates with a new bathroom. When your Sims come over to Granny's, they will get that cozy feeling in every room, even the bathroom.

All for Sims has a huge update for you today starting with the opening of their freebies section which includes a Christmas kitchen set, Poinsettia Garden, and some lovely rug sets. Today's update you will also find 2 new Modern Metallic Sets by Kit, the Kamile Kitchen Set by Nay, new section to the site "Themed Sets" which includes sets and items for Christmas, Halloween and St Patrick's day.
