We have so many things about The Sims 2 that we want to show to you, the only way to do it was to create a whole new web site for it. So here we are!

Instead of setting up just another fan site for the new game with the same screen shots, we want to explore behind the scenes and provide you with some more detail on what The Sims 2 means to you as a Sims fan, an artist, or a webmaster in the Sims community.

We are still gathering information, making graphics, and writing essays in all the subjects listed in the menu. The lighter colored links point to sections of the site that aren't ready yet, but the darker links are areas where we have explored the subject enough that we can keep you informed with update announcements.

We hope you enjoy our little fan site for The Sims 2!

This week's site spotlight

After being forced off line for a while because of bandwidth problems, All for Sims reopened on January 20, 2003 right here on SimsHost. You will a variety of creations from three very talented creators, Nay, Claire and Kit.

At All for Sims you will find items for your Sims in every category. Beautiful skins and heads for all your sims, furniture sets, rugs, paintings. Paintings are presented in collections, and feature artwork by Monet and Constable, the Moulin Rouge collection, waterfalls, and landscapes. Nay accepts requests for modifications to the skins; click on the "Design-a-Skin" link to go to form where you can complete your request. Nice collection of tradition rugs to warm your home. Make sure to visit the children bedrooms, you will find a large selection of themed children rooms and nursery.

More rugs mean more fun! The Step On Me Rug Collection has been added to Carrot Stuff! A one shot download containing all 21 rugs is available.

Your Sims will enjoy their spring break on Vacation Island (or at home by the pool) in one of the elephant and geometric patterned sundresses in Women's Skins at The Wooden Simolean! While you're there, check out the blue batik halter and skirt and the dramatic new white lace formal!

The Cape Crab wall cabinets were such a hit at The Wooden Simolean, that Rose made a matching fridge! Get it from the Refrigerators section.

Pompkyn's Sims Boutique updated with girls skins, 6 casual outfits, 3 pajamas and 3 swimsuits.

The Sim Republic added 3 new dresses to the Women's Misc section.

The Sim Republic updates with White Manor home for lot 4. The house has a value of $39,293. with 2-3 bedrooms, 1-2 bathrooms, kitchen, living Room, office, dining room, large entry, pantry and hot tub deck.

Julia's Boutique opens on Killersims! The new boutique offers 30 new dresses and promises lots more to come. Check it out on the 7th floor of the Killersims Shopping Center! The first 100 visitors will get a rose or a teddy bear for free!

Still the Biggest, Still the Best

As we approach our second anniversary we thought you would like to know that the sites hosted by SimsHost taken collectively are still by far the largest site for The Sims in the world. Well, in all ways but one: We still have the lowest subscription cost of any site.

Continuing subscribers are paying only $2.00 a month (plus about a tenth of a penny per download on the average). That's about a third the cost of a typical stand-alone subscription site, for access to a hundred times as many downloads. We are pleased and proud to be able to do this while allowing each site to retain its own individual personality, even as SimsHost continues to grow.
